Animal Jam Diaries: Survey night

Rasy I was kicking around this idea for a few days, and tonight I was particularly bored, so I figured I would give it a go. I've played animal jam for... 14 something years, on and off. Very influential game. And wonderfully, its still around with an active community! I like to mess around in this game still because I feel like its my kind of crowd. (that is, weird neurodivergent women who still uses the computer for fun and not because she feels obligated to.)

Heres the premise! 5 questions, go around and ask random Jammers their opinions. Below I have listed my questions and my reasoning for each.

OK- Without further ado. Here is the results, and my thoughts and documentation of the process.

1. frxshstrawb

Rasy I appreciate these answers. I respect a fundamental, honest jammer. frxshstrawb fits the bill. In this part of the process my mindset is to enter random strangers dens, wait for them to come in, and then ask the question. It worked well here, so!

2. Mystami

Rasy Mystami appreciates a good side quest when they see one. In my opinion, the game is all about the side quests.

Rasy Animal jam rocks!!
Rasy So at this point, My opening line is just "Hi, Are you busy?" and for the first time, someone actually is.Onward!

5. Anonymous Jammer

Rasy Some people dont have much to put out there, and I respect that. I was surprised someone actually said no to the 10 years question. I assumed everyone out there was about as married to this game as I was. But I still think you can make room in your life for a career *and* animal jam. But what do I know about careers.
Rasy Believe it or not its actually really hard to get a hold of folks. The best strategy I found is looking for them in random, unpopulated areas and then springing a conversation. Its just hard to find them there.

6. Tigewolf101

Rasy Jam on!!
Rasy At this point I realize that im throwing two softballs right off the bat. Because folks wont think to clarify their answers unless I explicitly tell them to. So now im asking why after each question. Im also appreciating it when people tell me they are having fun with this, which Tigewolf101 was kind enough to express. Its a fun time all around.

Also, Ive run into the same pair of what appears to be completely new accounts twice now while doing this. They stand in the same place for a moment in different locations and then suddenly disappear. I presume this is one person doing this. Or maybe a system. Or maybe a bot. Or all of the above. Maybe they are trying to complete journey book items? Im not sure. Anyway.
This one is a double feature!

7/8. Anonymous Jammer and siimoenn

Rasy I loved these two. Important to mention that the Anonymous Jammer simply wanted to remain mysterious. Also! 7 folks in, we have our first "Mario." and for a great reason, to boot.

9. Anonymous Jammer

Rasy For the first time tonight, someone actually says hi to me before I say hi to them. But they are just looking for items to trade, which I dont happen to have.

10. ka39967

Rasy I've never heard someone say they like Mario Karts instead of Mario Kart. But that makes total sense though.

11. Anonymous Jammer

Rasy Its hard to disagree. The pillow room is a truly unique place on the internet.

12. thatbat

Rasy I want to shout out this bat for graciously gifting me a spiked collar afterward. Its my first one in 14 years of playing! It was genuinely heartwarming. I'll hold it sacred.

Rasy And thats everyone I interviewed! Well, mostly, Ill get to the final tally, but... I hope you don't mind, but... I'd like to answer my own survey, too.
