That's a great question! "Plural" means more then one, which is an accurate descriptor of us as we are a "System", which for our purposes, describes a collection of individuals all sharing the same brain and body.
There is no "host" of the system that everyone revolves around. We are all equal individuals.
That may sound overwhelming, but it's more managable then you'd think, as not all of us are in control at once. Typically only one of us is "fronting", in control and having agency over actions, at a time.
Us sisters tend to "switch" a few times a day, which means one of us loses control and another sister takes over. Rarely, we will co-front, where two sisters share control at the same time.
If you're chatting with us, we try to make it very clear which one of us is speaking and in control.
If you are referring to us as a whole, you can call us...
...but we much prefer being referred to as the individuals we are if you're speaking to us face-to-face.
As plurals, we are inherently disassociated and occasionaly forgetful. Please excuse us if we repeat ourselves, forget information, or don't respond.
